I hope you have time to read a book. I’ll be back on Thursday with two more chapters of No Other Choice.

The September 2021 Saturday Broadsheet

The Saturday Broadsheet, with all my writing life updates, is now available at the link at the bottom of this short post. In this issue of the Broadsheet you will find:

  • A couple of pictures from places I visited in August.
  • Info about what is posting on my blog — which you probably already know. ๐Ÿ™‚
  • My progress on my writing and publishing projects (both as Leenie and as Annilee).
  • The books that I have on sale this month.
  • And a little bit of Music Monday on a Saturday. ๐Ÿ™‚ (I’ve got a music video and an excerpt from a book to go with it.)

Have a great weekend!

I hope you have time to read a book. I’ll be back on Tuesday with two more chapters of Tom: To Secure His Legacy.

Reel Around the Sun (Riverdance)

I just couldn’t let a month of Celtic music pass without including some Irish dancing. ๐Ÿ™‚ It’s so fun to watch.

I decided to pair a line from a conversation that is had between Fritz and Miss Wesley at a ball. (Dancing is the connection here. ๐Ÿ˜‰ ) This line also connects to a book that I have on preorder until Wednesday where Miss Wesley and the gentleman she is adamant she cannot like are the heroine and hero.

<<Fritz and Belle’s story where we first meet Charlotte and Miles (Belle’s little brother).

Charlotte and Miles’s story >>

His Irreplaceable Belle is an original sweet Regency romance that nods to Jane Austen’s Persuasion. Belle’s father did not approve of Fritz and schemed to separate the two of them. Years later, they are reunited in this story.

Similarly, Miles’s father (same father as above) does not approve of Charlotte and does his scheming best to separate the two young lovers. His Sensible Heart contains small touches of Jane Austen’s Sense and Sensibility, like a very sensible heroine with a less sensible sister.

He had not had much in the way of wealth and worldly possessions when they had first met, but she had known, to the depths of her soul, that it was only a temporary state for him. She had always believed he would be a great success, and from what she had seen today and had heard since she arrived in Bath, her assessment had been correct. He was a success and would continue to be so.

Oh, to be a part of his life and cheer him on to further greatness as his wife! Her heart still cried for what had been lost. It ached with its desire to be the lady at his side. But how could she be? Why would a gentleman who had been so wronged ever wish to be tied to the very family who had threatened to deny him of his profession?ย

TSB: Writing News, Sneak Peeks, and More

Before we get into the writing news for this week, I wanted to say that I know the past nearly two weeks have been fraught with strife for my American readers, relations, and friends. You have and will continue to be in my prayers, and I want you to know that I will continue to strive, as I always have, to demonstrate through my actions and words my love and respect for you all.ย

Writing News

So far this week, I have written one chapter of Protecting Miss Darcy. That’s it. That’s all I wrote. ๐Ÿ™‚ I hope to have time later today (Friday) to write another chapter of something.ย

My reason for such a low amount of writing this week was editing. I finished my first round read-through of Matching Mr. Darcy and have sent that off to my sister for her critique.ย

Publishing News

Sneak peek time!

By this time next week, I expect to have preorder information for Matching Mr. Darcy to share with you. If you’d like to see the book cover and read the first (unfinalized) chapter of this book, you can find both of those things at this link.ย
