“Did Miss Lydia tell you what she was going to do?” Darcy asked gently.

“She was supposed to meet Mr. Wickham and tell him that she did not wish to marry him.”

“They were going to Scotland,” Georgiana added in a whisper.

Leenie Brown

Leenie Brown fell in love with Jane Austen's works when she first read Sense and Sensibility followed immediately by Pride and Prejudice in her early teens. As the second of five daughters and an avid reader, she has always loved to see where her imagination takes her and to play with and write about the characters she meets along the way. In 2013, these two loves collided when she stumbled upon the world of Jane Austen Fan Fiction. A year later, in 2014, she began writing her own Austen-inspired stories and began publishing them in 2015. Leenie lives in Nova Scotia, Canada with her two teenage boys and her very own Mr. Brown (a wonderful mix of all the best of Darcy, Bingley and Edmund with healthy dose of the teasing Mr. Tillney and just a dash of the scolding Mr. Knightley).

  1. Oh, thank goodness. They are back with Darcy. Whew! Thankfully, he was speaking gently to them. I think he knew this was a delicate situation and didn’t want two hysterical women on his hands .Where was Lydia? I am sure she had a few words in regard to the scum-bag-rat-bastard’s behavior to them. Wait until the Colonel finds out. Oh, I can’t wait for this. I love the tweak that you have done with everyone. It has been so interesting reading the comments and behavior of this M/M Bennet. I am looking forward to finding out more information about when M/M Bennet married. Yep, yer killing me.

    1. Oh, don’t relax yet. 😀 Elizabeth and Lydia are not back yet. This happens to be Kitty and Georgiana in this little snippet, and they only know about Lydia missing at this point. So there is still the fact that Elizabeth is not at Darcy House to discover. 🙂 But yes, Darcy is being gentle as he does not want to upset the two young ladies that have come to him for help any more than they already are…and the colonel is about to find out.
