Richard glared at Darcy. Darcy attempted to ignore his cousin’s displeasure at waking to find himself in the carriage. The potion the apothecary had delivered had worked well.
“Would you like another dose of medicine?” Darcy inquired.
“You know that I do not,” Richard snapped. “I would like to be in a comfortable bed rather than this carriage.”

Leenie Brown fell in love with Jane Austen's works when she first read Sense and Sensibility followed immediately by Pride and Prejudice in her early teens. As the second of five daughters and an avid reader, she has always loved to see where her imagination takes her and to play with and write about the characters she meets along the way. In 2013, these two loves collided when she stumbled upon the world of Jane Austen Fan Fiction. A year later, in 2014, she began writing her own Austen-inspired stories and began publishing them in 2015. Leenie lives in Nova Scotia, Canada with her two teenage boys and her very own Mr. Brown (a wonderful mix of all the best of Darcy, Bingley and Edmund with healthy dose of the teasing Mr. Tillney and just a dash of the scolding Mr. Knightley).

I am sure Richard will be a terrible patient. However, Darcy will see to him. Oh-My-Goodness. I am so concerned about his emotional state. How he now sees himself and worry over his recovering ALL his faculties. Bless his heart. I hope there are no lasting problems to hinder his remaining in service. But, I know Darcy and L&L Matlock will see to his future. I hope he will not push Lydia away because he will quickly find out that she pushes back. I have a feeling we shall see a full-on ‘Lydia’ if he should try that. I can’t wait to see the rest of this. Whew!! I need to breathe.
Yes, he’s not going to be a great patient — at least not at first 🙂 I dare not say more than that however.
