Mary looked at the arm he offered, raised a brow while giving him a look of perturbed displeasure, and then very cautiously placed her hand on it.
“Why?” Bingley whispered to Darcy as the group began walking once again. “She obviously does not like him. Why would he subject himself to what could very likely be a lecture?”

Leenie Brown fell in love with Jane Austen's works when she first read Sense and Sensibility followed immediately by Pride and Prejudice in her early teens. As the second of five daughters and an avid reader, she has always loved to see where her imagination takes her and to play with and write about the characters she meets along the way. In 2013, these two loves collided when she stumbled upon the world of Jane Austen Fan Fiction. A year later, in 2014, she began writing her own Austen-inspired stories and began publishing them in 2015. Leenie lives in Nova Scotia, Canada with her two teenage boys and her very own Mr. Brown (a wonderful mix of all the best of Darcy, Bingley and Edmund with healthy dose of the teasing Mr. Tillney and just a dash of the scolding Mr. Knightley).

Because he is a self-absorbed narcissistic boob. Can I say that? I think he is bored and just likes to cause trouble. A lecture is still attention… even if it is negative. I find him hilarious. He is one of those kids that likes to poke people with a stick just to see their reaction. He really is harmless… just incorrigible. I may be completely wrong… but I like him.
He is hilarious, and yes, he would have been one of those kids — but there’s more to him than meets the eye and to Mary’s rather rude and improper behaviour. However, that’s for another time 🙂
