English Garden in the Csáky Castle at Hotkóc (János Rombauer)
Alfred’s aunt, Meredith Langley, loves gardens and is always having improvements made to hers. I wonder which of these garden elements she might have in the garden at Ravencot?
~*~*~
“The garden is best enjoyed from outside.”
“I was just out there,” Alfred replied. “What brings you to this room, Aunt?”
Meredith Langley crossed to stand next to her nephew. “You.”
“Me?”
His aunt nodded. “We have not yet had a good discussion about my son and his future bride.” Mrs. Langley sat down on the window seat so that she could also look out the window. “There is a pleasant breeze today, is there not?”

Leenie Brown fell in love with Jane Austen's works when she first read Sense and Sensibility followed immediately by Pride and Prejudice in her early teens. As the second of five daughters and an avid reader, she has always loved to see where her imagination takes her and to play with and write about the characters she meets along the way. In 2013, these two loves collided when she stumbled upon the world of Jane Austen Fan Fiction. A year later, in 2014, she began writing her own Austen-inspired stories and began publishing them in 2015. Leenie lives in Nova Scotia, Canada with her two teenage boys and her very own Mr. Brown (a wonderful mix of all the best of Darcy, Bingley and Edmund with healthy dose of the teasing Mr. Tillney and just a dash of the scolding Mr. Knightley).

Lovely garden! Are there two women here, Alfred’s mother and his Aunt?
No, just his aunt. The common surname can pose an issue. I might have to change Mrs. Langley to aunt here in this passage when I edit.
The gardens were very large and impressive! I would love to have a garden like that but living in a neighborhood there is not room. Looking at the pictures and reading the descriptions I am able to be taken there! Thank you Leenie!
I would love to have a garden like that to take walks in 🙂 I’m so happy you can feel as if you’re there when the pictures and words are combined. (That’s how I feel about it, too 🙂 )
I love gardens and don’t have one. Heavy sigh. Those pictures are marvelous. If she changes her garden as often as she changes her mind, she probably will use all of those features before all is said and done. LOL! If you have money… you can do that.
We have a yard but my gardening skills are seriously lacking. 🙂 If I had a gardener… LOL (Oh, yeah, and money LOL)
