I Remember Spring (Robin Spielberg)

Welcome to a brand new week. Shall we start it with some relaxing piano music and a quote from a story?

If you’ve been following Charles’s story, which is currently posting on Fridays, you’ll recognize Trefor Linton, the hero of A Scandal in Springtime, as a fellow who follows the rules and is never the source of scandal. That is he wasn’t the source of scandal until he met Kitty Bennet and his world turned on its head. (FYI: This quote is from a conversation Charles and Trefor are having a ball.)

A Scandal in Springtime is book three in the Darcy Family Holidays series.

When Kitty’s world collides, quite literally, with Trefor Linton’s, the result is going to be a tantalizingly delicious tale that will set tongues wagging and make for a spring Kitty will always remember.

Cottage Door, Amberley, Sussex

The cottages and the village life of rural England. 1912. Ditchfield, P. H. (Peter Hampson)

The spitting rain had left muddy trails down Darcy’s greatcoat as it mixed with the road dirt.  Keeping to the right branch of the road as the gentleman had instructed, Darcy found himself riding up a path toward a stone cottage.  “I think this is the cottage,” said Darcy.

“I do not see any other,” agreed Bingley.

Orchard Skies (Thad Fiscella)

Welcome to a brand new week. Shall we start it with some relaxing piano music and a quote from a story?

Remember when Thomas Prescott met Miss Abigail Weston and her mother, Clara, in the orchard? This excerpt is from that first meeting.

Apple Blossoms and Whispering Hearts is part of my First Blooms and Second Chances anthology of four sweet Regency novelettes.

Thomas Prescott is awkward and believes himself destined by such to remain a bachelor, but then, he met Clara.

The January 2021 Saturday Broadsheet

Welcome to a brand new year of monthly updates and a new way of sharing them here on my blog.

Each month I spend many hours compiling The Saturday Broadsheet for my mailing list. Then, I jump over here to the blog and copy, paste, and reformat it in a blog post, which, as you might imagine, takes another bit of time. Because my words for the year are refresh and renew, I have decided to try something intended to streamline things.

Below is a bullet-point summary of the things contained in the newsletter I wrote. Below that, is a link to the public version of the newsletter. The link will just open to a new webpage.

  • I am looking back just briefly at last year and then sharing some plans I have going into 2021.
  • There are a few changes planned and being thought about when it comes to the blog.
  • I have three books that I am planning to publish before the end of March 2021.
  • There are a few sections that delve into budget-friendly reading, including info about January’s 99cent book and a friend’s book bundle that is on sale.
  • There is a video of review snippets.
  • And last, but not least, there is a little bit of info about a wall of stained-glass windows in a cathedral, which I heard about on a program I watched.

That’s a lot of information. I should likely call it a news magazine rather than a letter or maybe it’s a news novelette? 😀 Whatever you call it, it will take a while to read, so make sure you’re comfortably situated, and then click the link below to begin reading.

When you’re done reading, you can always come back here and share your comments about this news sharing format and anything you read in the newsletter.

Have a great weekend!
