Lorcan rubbed the back of his neck while he studied Netherfield. He had no great desire to go there, but he also did not wish to walk to Meryton or remain on the road. “And what if no one is in residence?”

“There will be staff, sir. They will be able to help you find accommodations. Send a footman to Meryton if there is an issue, and I will hire a carriage to collect you.”

“Very well,” Lorcan agreed. There really was not much else to do.

Leenie Brown

Leenie Brown fell in love with Jane Austen's works when she first read Sense and Sensibility followed immediately by Pride and Prejudice in her early teens. As the second of five daughters and an avid reader, she has always loved to see where her imagination takes her and to play with and write about the characters she meets along the way. In 2013, these two loves collided when she stumbled upon the world of Jane Austen Fan Fiction. A year later, in 2014, she began writing her own Austen-inspired stories and began publishing them in 2015. Leenie lives in Nova Scotia, Canada with her two teenage boys and her very own Mr. Brown (a wonderful mix of all the best of Darcy, Bingley and Edmund with healthy dose of the teasing Mr. Tillney and just a dash of the scolding Mr. Knightley).

  1. Oh, dear. What has set Lorcan off? I guess I’ll have to wait until tomorrow in order to see. Yer killing me, Leenie. I love Lorcan. Please don’t torture him too long. Kitty, maybe suffer just a bit. She so doesn’t understand what she has done. Will she get a clue in time? Hurry… clock… hurry.

    1. Oh, Kitty has been suffering. She’s been at home crying for a month. She is under the impression that Lorcan was only toying with her heart because of his rejection. They are both at fault here. If only they had taken a moment to talk to each other a month ago, this suffering would not be happening. Of course, then there would be no story, so I guess it is good each thinks the other doesn’t love him/her? LOL The torture is scheduled to continue for a few more chapters. Sorry?
